Reminder to Order Emails

Each fortnight – all co-op members will be sent an email by Flemington Direct 2 days before delivery. This gives you 2 days to place your order or make changes to your standing order.

Order Times

You need to order by 4pm the day before delivery is required. Orders placed after this time will not be processed in time for the Co-Op order. These can be delivered to your home address on another date – but would not incur the co-op discount.

Serving quantities

Flemington Direct operates in serving quantities – which makes it easy for us to pack your box and buy our produce reflecting market price fluctuations.

E.g. 1 serve of corn = 2 cobs of corn. If you wanted 4 cobs – you ask for 2 serves. Serving sizes may vary as the market prices fluctuate – so it is best to jump on www.flemingtondirect.com.au and place your order – that way you can see the serving quantities and new items that come into season.

It should also be noted that you can get half (0.5) quantities of many items. E.g if you selected 0.5 serve of corn – 1 serve is 2 cobs of corn so 0.5 serves would be 1 cob of corn.

Unavailables

If something is unavailable – it will be marked N/A on your packing sheet that comes inside the box. If it is going to be unavailable for a while we will list it in the important information section (bottom typed section) of your packing sheet.

Yes / No / Blank (no marked selection choice)

When you place your order you need to indicate YES to the items you would like and NO to the items you don’t like. Its best to leave as many selections blank as possible so that we can provide you with the best seasonal fruit and veg on the day to fill the remaining box room.

  • YES – we will place this in your box (if they are available)
  • NO – this will never go into the box

All other room left after filling your YES selections will be seasonal fruit and Veg. This is called FILLER. Customers who leave us room for filler often receive special seasonal items such as stone fruit for free in summer months, so its best to make as few YES and NO selections to ensure you have lots of BLANKS for filler items.

OVERFULL ORDERS -What if I select too much for my chosen box size?

Its best to think of the following table when ordering to ensure that you do not make too many YES selections – if this happens we may run out of room to put everything in your order and you may miss out on much needed items.

Selections

What does that mean

Yes
Things you must have in your order (if available)
No
Things you hate the taste of / are allergic to
Blank
Everything else – this is where we will fill the remaining room left for your box size with seasonal produce and the best quality staple items on the day.

What is used for Filler?

The market dictates what we use as filler. It is the best seasonal fruit and veg on the day. It may change slightly but this would include all your normal staples such as potatoes, lettuce, onions, apples, oranges, pears etc and seasonal items such as grapes, nectarines, peaches (in summer months) etc. There is no definitive way of providing a list of filler items – as it does depend on the market conditions on the day. Rest assured we will give you a great variety of seasonal items and staples.

Extras – special produce items

We provide EXTRA’s – which are special produce items that can be included in the box for an additional charge on top of the set box price. These include items such as Eggs, Cherry tomatoes, Strawberries, Avocado, Mango, Chillies, Ginger etc. Our list of extra’s and there price may change as market conditions change so it is best to jump on the website www.flemingtondirect.com.au to take a look at the extras list and the prices they incur.

Do Extra’s take up space in my allocated box room?

Yes – extra’s do take up room in the selected box size space – because we don’t charge as much as retail outlets.

Automatic Orders

If you would like to save loads of time on remembering to order your fruit we have an automatic delivery service – which means you can set up a saved order that will come out to you each fortnight that the co-op receives boxes. This means you do not need to remember to jump on the website to place your order, it will come out automatically.

Can I make small changes to my saved automatic order?

YES! You can jump onto the website www.flemingtondirect.com.au and make changes to your saved automatic order. You can also email admin@flemingtondirect.com.au or call 83234675 and list the small changes you would like. These changes will be saved on your order until you advise us the following fortnight to change them back.

E.g. “No more carrots please. Add brushed potatoes and 0.5 oranges” These changes will stay on your automatic order until you let me know of any other changes you would like to your saved order for the following fortnight.

How do I Skip my automatic delivery?

If you would like to skip a fortnight(s) all you need to do is email admin@flemingtondirect.com.au and write the date you would like to skip and the date you would like to resume.

E.g “skip 05/03/2008 resume 02/04/2008”. Its that simple. We will then resume orders on the date stated.

What if I forget to skip my delivery?

The order will arrive automatically and this order will incur a charge.
